Trust in Motion began with a simple idea: what would happen if students explored empathy and reliability not just through conversation, but through movement?
Inspired by the Trust Building/s mural series, these dancers were paired together and asked to listen, collaborate, create, and trust one another. Before the final photographs were made, they had to share ideas, try things that felt new, compromise when something did not work, and rely on each other in real time.
Their reflections below offer a beautiful look at what happened behind the scenes. In their own words, they share what it felt like to build trust, make space for someone else’s ideas, support one another, and discover that connection can happen even when you are working with someone new.
-Jeiza, 8th Grade
