Hello friend! Thank you for stopping by and reading about ME! My name is Katrina Hecksher-Jones, you can call me Kat. I am the owner and photographer behind Kat Jones Creative!

hey there, I'm Kat!

Hey everyone, meet Reese! She is a recent grad from Midlothian high school and had the honor of being her class of 2024 Valedictorian. Being named valedictorian is such an amazing accomplishment! It shows that Reese not only excelled academically but also showed her leadership and commitment to her school during her time there! Congratulations again Reese, for this well-deserved honor! Reese is currently attending the University of Virginia with a plan to major in Commerce and Psychology.

In my opinion, it truly is the best time of year. The changing of the leaves, the crisp, cool air, and don’t even get me started on pumpkin spice lattes! When it comes to fall, three things come to mind: dressing comfy (but making it stylish), enjoying the cooler weather, and savoring the smell of happiness in the air (can you tell fall is my favorite).

Megan’s Senior Photos: Running Into the Future

Introducing Megan! She is a proud recent graduate of Midlothian High School, and excelled in cross country and track. This fall, she’s heading to the University of Virginia to pursue a degree in business. As Megan finishes up her high school years and gets ready for what’s next, her senior photos capture a mix of memories, her love for running, and her future endeavors. Taken at Tuckahoe in Richmond, VA, these images are more than just portraits—they’re a tribute to Megan’s high school experiences and a glimpse into the future she’s running towards.

Capturing the essence of a senior’s final year of high school is always a special experience, but Katrina’s session at Belle Isle in Richmond, Virginia, was truly unforgettable. As the sun set over the James River we were treated to a beautiful blend of nature’s splendor and Katrina’s vibrant personality.

Hey there! Let me introduce you to Kate. She is a recent graduate from James River High School and she is attending William and Mary this fall. She plans to study government studies and then she will continue her education by studying pre-law track. Kate isn’t just smart and driven; she’s also got a heart of gold, a love for her reusable straw, and a thing for Aquaphor (I’m right there with you, Kate!).

As summer begins to wane, the warm, golden light seems to highlight moments of transition and growth, making it the perfect time for capturing milestones. Recently, I had the pleasure of witnessing one such moment: Ainsley’s senior picture session at the Historic Tuckahoe in Richmond, VA. Ainsley will be graduating from Midlothian High School and will attend Old Dominion University to play field hockey and she has an interest in majoring in exercise science. With a perfect blend of history, nature, and personal flair, Ainsley’s photos reflect not just a young woman on the cusp of adulthood but also her exciting new journey at Old Dominion University.

If YOU have a summer senior session coming up, SAVE THIS POST! Here’s what you’ll want to bring to your session as a summer session emergency kit: Lots of ice water: Bring a cooler to keep it cool! Lotion: If you’ve been laying out in the sun, your skin could be more dry than normal. […]
